Room Availability Update: IGBO 2008 has had an INCREDIBLE RESPONSE to our hotel reservation system. We currently have over 1300 room nights booked by IGBO bowlers around the world. The Omni hotel is officially sold out of rooms Sunday 5/18 through Thursday, 5/22. There are rooms available Friday, 5/23 through Monday 5/26. If you have not reserved your rooms at Host Hotel, do so now to ensure you get the incredible $99 room rate. See overfow property below for other hotel loations to consider if rooms are not avialble for your selected stay.
Storm Damage Update: On March 14, 2008 downtown Atlanta was hit by an EF2 Tornado in the downtown district. The Omni Hotel at CNN Center was impacted by this storm and suffered minor damage to its South and North Towers next to CNN Center. The Omni Hotel meeting space was untouched. Omni Hotel staff has informed us that most damage repairs are completed and 90% of hotel room space is now operational and open for business. We have also been told that the remaining damage areas to be repaired will NOT impact IGBO 2008 event in May nor impact existing reservations. Guests with confirmed reservations are welome to call OMNI toll-free at 888-444-OMNI (6664) for an update and the status of your reservation. More updates will be posted here when available.

Valet Parking—Valet parking is available for 40% discount off daily rate (currently $25—$15.00 with discount), which includes in/out privileges. (Note: All downtown major hotesl only provide Valet parking. Also, there are no easily accessible, “secure” self-parking facilities near the hotel.) IGBO 2008 committee highly recommends out-of-town bowlers car-pool as much as possible to save in cost. Also, using Atlanta's MARTA transit system (station below CNN Center) to bowling venues is not a viable option. However, by all means use MARTA system to get to local attractions and nightlife around the city.
